Aaron
Edward Kilpatrick is a well-listed California landscape painter born in
Saint Thomas, Canada in 1872.
Educated in the public schools of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
he moved to the United States in 1892. He studied with William Wendt and
accompanied him on month long painting excursions. He received national
acclaim for his work and was elected an Associate of the National
Academy of Design.
He exhibited his works with the Art Institute of
Chicago the San Francisco Art Association, and the Biltmore Salon in
Los Angeles. His works are in the de Young Museum, the Athletic Club
of Los Angeles, and the Cleveland Museum.. He died in 1953.
