Alberto Guerra is a listed
Italian based artist born in Italy in 1913.
His paintings have rarely appeared at auction, but
several sales have been noted. In several of the works, Alberto Guerra shows
a modernist interpretation of urban scenes with Romanesque architecture; on
others, he is a traditionalist. This painting was most likely purchased in
Italy by the late art and antique dealer Sydney Anderson.
