One of the
pioneers of the "California Style", listed painter Anthony Rizzo was born in
1919 in Rochester, New York, but moved with his family to Culver City,
California in 1926.
He worked
for Walt Disney as well as several other animation studios, most notably on
"Sleeping Beauty", "The Flintstones, "101 Dalmations", and "The Aristocats". He
attended the Chuoinard Art School and his works were featured in the volumes
California Watercolors and The California Style. He died in 2000.
