A listed California painter, sculptor, and jeweler,
Audrey M. C. Peterson was born in 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah and educated
at the University of Chicago and the Chicago Art Institute,
A pupil of Millard Sheets and Cornelius Salisbury, she
was primarily known as an Abstract Expressionist, although she also painted
landscapes and portraits. She exhibited widely throughout the Western United
States winning many prizes for her works.
She died in 1989.
