Hailing originally from Massachusetts, Bruce Backman Turner was born in 1941. A listed artist known for his colorful paintings of the Rockport and North Shore areas, he has been published in both "American Artist" and "palette Talk" magazines.

He has won numerous awards for his artwork, and he has many pieces in both public and private collections.
