Born in 1928, Bernard Buffet was an acclaimed "School of Paris" artist by the age of 20.

 He worked as a painter, etcher, lithographer, designer and sculptor who produced still life, landscapes and portraits all in a somber yet unique style for post WWII Europe. Facing health problems, he committed suicide in 1999.
