A
listed Scandinavian painter, Eva Andersen was known for her landscapes and
portraits.
She gave painting lessons to Queen Margrethe of Denmark
for many years. Her work was exhibited at the Musee de' Art Moderne in
Paris, France, the Charlottenborg in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Holbaek
Museum, and with the Aurora Group.
This painting is reminiscent of the WPA paintings of
the early 1930's and 1940's funded under the Franklin Roosevelt
Administration.
