Born in 1921, Evelyn Levy Shaw was a respected
Cincinnati, Ohio artist known for her figural works in several different
medias. A graduate of the Cincinnati Art Academy and the University of
Cincinnati Art Department, she also trained with Moses Sawyer in New York.
She exhibited nationally at such venues as the Library
of Congress, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts, the ACA
Gallery in New York, and the Print Club of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania among
others. Her work remains in the Library of Congress as well as in many
private and corporate collections. She died in 2009.
