Born in 1949, Ferdos Kakoie Maleki is a contemporary Orange County artist known for her striking original abstracts that evoke her spiritual core and her love of art and the natural elements.

Born the eldest of five children, Ferdos was raised primarily by her grandmother in the city of Rasht on the Caspian coast of Iran. She showed an early interest in art, and though a primarily self-taught artist, her work speaks to all who soak in its complexity and imagery.
