Frank Tolles Chamberlain is a well listed California painter known for
his architectural, figural, genre and landscape paintings.
Born in 1873 in San Francisco, California, he received
his artist's training at the Art Students League in New York and at the
American Academy in Rome.
He taught at various schools in New York and Los
Angeles and won many awards for his works prior to his death in Pasadena in
1961. The Pasadena Museum held a retrospective exhibition of his work in
1955.
