Born in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1913, Friedolin Kessler studied at
Washington University.
He arrived in California in 1935, and was the camp
artist for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He co-founded the Art League in
San Jose, California, and opened his own commercial art gallery there. He
was a painter, mosaic maker and printmaker. He exhibited in San Jose, Laguna
Beach, Portland, Oregon, and Washington, DC. He died in 1995.
