George Post was a well-known listed California painter, illustrator and teacher who has been featured in California Watercolors and California Style (McLelland / Last).

Born in 1906 and raised in Oakland, California, he studied at the California School Of Fine Arts and at the Academie Frochot in Paris, France. He became one of the top tier watercolor artists in the 1930's and 40's.
