Georges Valmier is a well-listed French artist born in 1885, and educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. He was a pioneer of the Cubist movement, and a pupil of Luc-Oliver Mersen.

He exhibited at the Salon des Independants and executed murals for the French railway company's exhibit at the International Exhibition of Paris in 1937. His works are in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Musee National d'Art Moderne in Paris. He died in 1937.
