Gerd Koch is a listed California artist and teacher  known for his impressionist abstract compositions in several mediums.

Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1929, he was trained at the Wayne State University and the University of California Santa Barbara. He has won many awards for his works which are in numerous museum collections.
