Born in California in 1914, Helen Luton Hafer was known for her still
life and landscape paintings.
She studied at the Chouinard Institute in Los Angeles,
and privately with Harry Emerson Lewis. For many years Helen Luton Hafer was
the director of Arts for the Orange County Fairs and she also exhibited
regularly at the Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts and the Desert Art Center
in Palm Springs where she often won awards for her work.
She died in 2003, and this artwork came from Ms.
Hafer's estate.
