This vintage painting of the Commedia dell' Arte mime
character Pierrot is by the listed French modernist painter Jean-Claude
Vincent Guignebert. Born in 1921, Jean-Claude Vincent Guignebert was a
painter and cartoonist who worked in Paris with Lurcat on his comedic
subjects.
He exhibited at the Salon de Mai and in 1947 won the
Drouant-David prize. This painting came out of a Los Angeles, California
estate.
