exceptional work is by well listed California painter James Everett Stuart.
Born in Bangor, Maine in 1852, his family moved to California when he was
eight years old, and he studied at the San Francisco School of Design with
Thomas Hill and William Keith.
He became known for his panoramic landscapes,
especially of the American West. He died in 1941.
