Born in 1913 in Chicago, Kiyohei Inukai was a well listed Chicago, Illinois painter, printmaker and sculptor who was educated at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Art Student's League of New York, and the National Academy of Design.

His work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Brooklyn Museum, the Corcoran Gallery and the Pennsylvania Academy.

He died in 1985.
