A listed California artist born in Nebraska in 1892,
Lillian Mae Duquette studied with Augustus Dunbier, Will Foster and Sergei
Bongart.
She is well known for her portraits, Plein air landscapes
and sill life paintings. She exhibited at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts
and the Smithsonian Collection. In the 1930's she visited and painted in the
Taos, New Mexico area. She died in 1978.
