Well listed artist Lundy Siegriest was born in 1925 in Oakland, California, and was the son of well-known "society of Six" painter Louis Siegriest.

He attended the California College of Arts and Crafts, and became one of his generations' foremost modernist painters. His works were exhibited widely, including at the Carnegie Institute, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and the Whitney Museum. He died in 1985.
