Born in 1934, Martin Deane Coppinger is a listed Phoenix, Arizona painter
known as the "Desert Van Gogh" for his luminous landscapes of the desert, as
well as paintings of nudes and abstracts.
Also known as a talented jewelry maker, he was a student of Degraria and
J. R. Coppinger. He was represented by the Martin Gorlew Gallery in Phoenix,
Arizona where this painting was found on a recent buying trip.
