Born in 1903, the listed German painter Max Ohmayer
is known for his animal paintings and landscapes.
He lived in Rothenberger, and while his paintings
are much more plentiful in Europe they only rarely show up on the American
market. This genre painting came out of a local Palm Springs estate.
