Morris Broderson is a
well-listed California painter known for his semi-abstract figural and
allegorical works.
Born deaf in 1928, his budding talent as an artist was
mentored by well-known California artist Francis De Erdely. His works have
been exhibited at the Whitney Museum, the de Young Museum, the Corcoran
Gallery and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine arts. He recently died this
year, 2011.
