A listed native Californian artist born in 1900 in Los Angeles, Naomi
Taylor Evans was a student of Sam Hyde Harris during the 1930's and 1940's,
and it was said that she signed many of his canvases to hide their romantic
relationship.
She was a lifelong resident of Los Angeles, California,
and exhibited at the Glendale Arts Association, the Bartlett Club of
Ventura, California, and the Laguna Beach Arts Association where her work
won many prizes. She died in 1969.
