A well listed California and Taos, New Mexico
painter and muralist known for his modernist landscapes and still life.
Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1887, he studied
both in the United States and abroad. He moved to Los Angeles, California
about 1920 and studied with Alson Clark, while exhibiting his works.
He became a WPA artist in the 1930's and executed
several murals and artworks in post offices and other public buildings. He
died in Orange County in 1961.
