American artist Paul
Cadmus was born in 1904, and was an internationally known figural artist
whose subjects were usually male dancers, nude and sailors. His main mediums
were drawing, crayon and oils.
Paul Cadmus studied at
the National Academy of Design, and the Art Student's League. His work hangs
in dozens of well-known museums, as well as both public and private
collections.
Paul Cadmus died in 1999.
