A well
listed Twentieth Century School of Paris painter, Phillipe Marchand is best
known for his street scenes, landscapes, still life, and marine paintings.
He studied at the Academie Des Beaux Arts in Paris in
the the early 1950's. He developed his own distinctive style after mastering
the copying of the works of masters in the Louvre. In 1965, a book was
published by Fine Arts Press that chronicled the body of Marchand's work.
