Russell William Swan is a
listed California painter known for his desert landscapes and harbor scenes
of Monterey Bay in California.
Born in Minnesota in 1908, he moved to California in
1923 and studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and the Carmel
Institute of Art under John Cunningham, another artist whose work is in
Stewart Galleries. He died in 1963.
