William Robert Shulgold is a listed painter, etcher,
and teacher, born in Russia who emigrated to the United States. He lived in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1929 to 1935, and then moved to New York where
he lived from 1936.
He studied with Sparks, Sotter, Levy, and C. W.
Hawthorne. He exhibited his works at the Corcoran Gallery, the Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Arts, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
