A listed California painter, muralist,
and teacher, Wesley Johnson was born in Ojai, California in
1934, and educated at Ventura College and the University of
California, Santa Barbara. He was also a pupil of Howard
Warshaw and Andre L'Hote.
Known for his abstract Expressionist
works, he exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Art, the
Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the DeYoung Memorial Museum,
and the California State Fair. He has received many awards
for his art including the prestigious James D. Phelan Award
for Literature and Art.
